The Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) operates a single central library as an independent and decentralized unit called the Library and Information Center of the Democritus University of Thrace. Each School has its own Unit located within or near its buildings.
The Library of the School of Health Sciences is located in Dragana-Alexandroupolis and aims to be an open, active, and accessible learning environment in both physical and digital settings. The building has a reading room where readers can use materials that cannot be borrowed. This material is called reference material and includes dictionaries, atlases, ABSTRACTS, INDEX MEDICUS, and journals. Computers connected to the Internet are also available for bibliographic searches. The opening hours are available here.
After enrolling in the Department, students can become members of the library, which allows them to borrow books and access the library’s electronic resources (databases, electronic journals, e-books, Institutional Repository) via remote access from the University’s internal network (VPN) through their Institutional account.
