Study of the role of aldehyde dehydrogenases (ALDHs) in cellular homeostasis and disease pathogenesis. Characterization of biological activity of bioactive compounds - evaluation of new sustainable and environmentally friendly biomolecules for health-promoting properties aiming at the development of innovative products. Development of new approaches for cancer prevention and treatment (natural products, nanoparticles, probiotics/microbiome targeting).
