Molecular Biology

I use stem cell technologies, including organoids derived from human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs), to study CNS and kidney development and disease. I am interested in: i) Developing stem cell-based models of CNS and kidney disease; ii) Enhancing hPSC-derived tissue maturity, including vascularisation of kidney organoids iii) Probing the role of miRNAs in kidney and CNS development and disease. I also have an interest in developing CRISPR and Viral Vector tools to assist in the above.
